Hello and welcome to HCM,
Decreased space between tonsil, epiglottis and uvula can be due to tonsillar enlargement.
Tonsil enlargement can be seen in tonsil inflammation and hypertrophy.
Tonsillitis and tonsil enlargement is commonly seen in children.
When very large the tonsils can obstruct the passage of food and fluids.
You need to consult an ENT specialist for clinical examination.
In case of tonsillitis, surgical removal of the tonsils may be required.

Thanks and take care
