When blood flow to the brain is impaired, oxygen and important nutrients cannot be delivered. The result is abnormal brain function. Blood flow to the brain can be disrupted by either a blockage or rupture of an artery to the brain. A stroke is also referred to as a cerebrovascular accident or CVA.

Hi im 19 yrs old a 5 6nd weight 132 lbs. I been having this warm and weak sensation in my left arm for a few months now and i saw today the symptoms of a Blood Clot and it look similar to what i feel. I mean i dont think i have a lot of chance of getting blood clot cause of my age. I used to play sports few years back in high school. I been also getting this warm sensation on my left chest close to the heart. I has anxiety and last year i went to the doctor thinking i was having a heart attack. They did a stress test and EKG and everything was fine. Im super scared of having a stroke at my age. One of my friend had one 3 years ago im scared it could happen to me.

I read someplace on the Internet that there was a named medical condition that caused the arteries to form creases and un-smooth areas inside arteries that catch and hold cholesterol and cause the walls to thicken and become harder, and that is what causes arterialschelerosis, hardening of the arteries. Can you tell me the name of that condition?
