What Is The Treatment Of Blocked Ear ?

Hi, I had flu for a week and am actually feeling better today. I tried to clear my ear by pinching my nose and blowing lightly but ended up with a very blocked right ear. After an hour, it's starting to ache a bit. DO you think I have ruptured my ear drum. My hearing is very blocked on that ear.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
hello, middle ear is connected with nose by means of eustachian tube. this tube maintains d pressure and helps in drainage of fluids fro ear to nose. any infection related to nose or throat can block this tube leading into ear block ,pain reduced hearing.in my opinion u can start tab. cefixime 200mg twice daily fior 5 days, tab.hicet-d( citrizine + pseudoehidrine) one tab at bed time for 7 days, nasal drops xylomist 3drops/3times/1wk. do valsalva ( watch in utube). chewing of bubble gum.all this opens d tube.all d best. if still persistent pain visit an ent surgeon.all d best.
