What Is The Treatment For Painful Red Rashes In The Throat?

My daughter finished antibiotics Monday for strp throat {10 day supply) Today she complained it hurt so I looked and saw a couple of spots, I checked again 3 hours later and the inside of her mouth is covered with a nasty red rash and down the back of her throat. She is also yesterday started to coplain of severe pain on her left side, she had a hard time walking. Today it is there but not as severe. What dould this be?

Hello,

I would explain that it is necessary consulting again with her doctor for a physical exam and some tests:

- complete blood count, PCR, ESR
- ASO titer antibodies
- a throat discharge bacterial culture.

It could be an antibiotic resistance or fungal infection.
