I've had a "plugged" ear for several weeks. My GP has washed out the ear with warm water and a syringe. My ENT "vacuumed" stuff out and put my on oral antibiotics and a nasal spray and a antibiotic ear drop. The last three days when I blow my nose I hear this very loud screetching noise, it is so loud it's actually shocking. Also the last two day I've had pain in my ear. Should I worry
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of sharp ear pain which could be due to ear infection, excessive ear fluid and ear wax accumulation. Need not to worry about it. I would suggest you to take few preventive measures such as take antibiotic Ciprofloxacin you are not allergic to it along with Ibuprofen and Loratadine. Put Otogesic ear drops 2-3 times a day. You should take proper rest. Try to avoid excessive use of mobile as it will put more pressure. If symptoms keeps on persisting you should visit ENT specialist once and get it examined and start treatment after proper prescription. Get all the lab tests done for proper examination.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
