Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have for several years suffered with excessive sweating from the head accompanied with body heat. I am 57 female and post menopausal. I had hot flushes during the menopause but this constant. I suffer with Raynauds disease so feel the cold terribly, so for me to get hot and sweaty when it is so cold is unusual. I have also put on approx. 3 stone in as many years and find this uncomfortable as I have COPD.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement, Dr. Saurabh Gupta's Response
Hello, Thanks for your query. Treatment of Reynaud’s phenomenon is focused on prevention. It includes keeping warm and protecting against exposure to cold, stress management, relaxation techniques, avoiding smoking, exercise to increase circulation, etc. Surgery is rarely needed. As treatment is focused on prevention and medications have least role, I don't think there are any factors contraindicating treatment. Avoiding cold exposure as and much possible prevents Reynaud's disease. I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query. Take care
