Your son could be suffering from Upper respiratory tract infection (probably viral) /adenoids/ tonsillitis. You can give symptomatic relief with tb acetaminophen.Warm saline gargles will help. You should consult an ENT specialist. Under Physicians supervision azithromycin antibiotics can be started for a period of 3 days.

It appears that yourson is suffering from Acute pharyngotonsillitis.Depending upon his age,you may tell him to gargle with Betadine/salt gargle if he is above 5years.You can also give him tab.Calpol 1/2 to 1 tab 3times for fever,Combiflam syr.5ml to 10 ml 3 times and Tab.Roxid 1-0-1 to 1-1-1,all this per day for 3 to 5 days.If he does not respond well,contact ENT surgeon on HCM.

There are several causes of the symptoms that your son is complaining of. They include viral infections, streptococcal pharyngitis, otitis media, mumps, measles, etc.
Viral infections are common in children whenever there is seasonal change. They usually resolve with only symptomatic treatment. Streptococcal pharyngitis is caused by Streptococcus pyogenes and usually requires antibiotics for treatment. Mumps and measles are also viral infections with specific clinical presentations and usually require empirical treatment.
For your child, the fever can be taken care of by wet sponging and anti-pyretics such as paracetamol. The dose of the medication needs to be titrated according to the weight and age of the child. However, if your child has noisy or productive cough or difficulty in breathing, it would be best if you take him to a paediatrician who may start antibiotics depending on the clinical situation.

what is the age of ur son?
there may be some throat infection due to which there is little temperature too...
there are symptoms of tonsilitis infection too..
u need to visit a general physician and before that u may go for warm water gargles...put a pinch of salt in it...
