What Is The Reason For Cramps, Bleeding And Stomach Pain After Sex?

hello, i last had sex almost 3 weeks ago (we used condoms). For about a week now i have been on birth control (the pills) and a day after i started taking them i started bleeding and having really bad stomach aches. at first i thought it was just the cramping from my period but now its already been 8 days and im still bleeding and having really bad stomach pains and continuosly throwing up. could i be pregnate or is it just the side affects of being on the pill? also i have had birth control before but only the shot, this is my first time using the pills.

Hi,
Thanks for posting your query. Well, after going though your query, I think you are probably experiencing the side effects of the pills. You did not mention whether you started taking the pills from the onset of your menstrual cycle or not. If so, you cannot be pregnant in the first place and the persistent bleeding is due to the hormone content in the pill. Yet, i feel it would be ideal to contact your health care provider and get evaluated. You may need to change the pills to avoid the side effects. Meanwhile, you can take an antispasmodic to get relief from the cramps and an anti-emetic to control the vomiting and please stop the pills. Hope this helps.
