What Is The Cure For Swelling On Left Side Of Scrotum?

Hello Doctor,

My son has swelling on the left side of his scrotum.
We have been to see the family doctors and he advises that is swollen glands.
It has been approx 2 weeks since the doctors visit and the swelling seems to be getting worse. What do you advise?

Hi swelling of one side of scrotum can be due to swelling of the glands or due to hernia or hydrocele
First treat the infective part and treat it with antibiotic broad spectrum twice daily and a anti inflammatory agent twice daily until infection subsides.if it is not cured see for reducability which is a sign of hernia and rule out hydrocele by ultrasonography.
If it hernnia or hydrocele go for surgery which is treatment of choice
