What Is The Cause Of Uncontrollable Urge To Urinate?
I have a problem of sudden uncontrollable urge to urinate. Its not like there is a huge quantity of urine putting pressure on the bladder. An ultra sound scan shows a normal prostate: however it appeared that I was not fully emptying the bladder. What could be reason?
Hi Urge to urinate and frequency are usually the initial sign of obstruction to urinary tract - either prostate problem or urethral stricture. You could have obstruction from prostate even if you have normal sized prostate on ultrasound.
Please get an uroflometry and post void residual scan usually through an urologist to get evaluated further.
Meanwhile avoid coffee and tea, fizzy drinks and cocoa products to reduce urgency.
