What Is The Cause For Heavy Periods And Headaches?

Hi Dr. I am a 27 year old mommy of 3 children... about 4 yrs ago i had the essure procedure done and ever since i have had very heavy period, lots of cramping, major headaches etc.. today I ended up going to my obgyn and she did a saline sono and told me I had a very thick uterine lining and that she wanted to get a biopsy done... I asked her what causes the thickening and she would not discuss it with me, instead she suggested seeing me next week.. I am very confused and would like to know exactly what may be the causes of this... Thank You!

OB and GYN Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

There are many underlying medical conditions which cause uterine thickening but it needs to be ruled out first, it can be malignant as well as non-malignant. So I suggest you wait till your biopsy reports will come.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Naira Jahangir, OB and GYN Specialist
