What Is The Best Medication For Erosive Esophagus Other Than Prevacid And Tecta?

hello, I have been on Prevacid for almost two years, for erosive esophagus. About three months ago I developed a sore throat but didn t think much of it. After three months of a sore throat I thought it time to go to the doctor. After some q & a my doctor figures the prevacid has stopped working and prescribed Tecta. I have been taking it for almost three weeks and have had absolutely no improvement. What do I do now? Thank you

Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.
Prevacid does not stop Woking, its ineff ectiveness means you need further investigations and additional treatment, may be surgical.
Same things apply for Tecta.
I would adivise you the following.
Upper GI endoscopy.
Proper diagnosis.
Surgical correction of hiatus hernia or so.
Additional treatment under the guidance of a Gastroenterologist.
