What Does Multiple Immature Follicles In The Ovaries Mean?

hi i'm suffering frm irregular periods last for more than 20 day and today i have got my ultrasound report which says Both overies are mildly enlarged and show multiple small immature follicles rt ovary vol.22.0 cc. and lt ovary vol.11.7 cc. there is no fluid in the cul-de-sac endometrial thickness is normal 6.9 mm myometrial and endometrial echoes are normal uterus ius antverted and normal in size shape and echopattern with centrally placed uterine cavity urinarry bladder is full appear normal no colculus seen.. please clear my doubt abt Both ovaries are mildly enlarged and show multiple small immature follicles

Hi, thanks for writing..
Multiple immature follicle in both the ovary with increased volume suggest PCOS. Also get a follicular study to see whether ovulation is taking place. Irregular cycles also points towards PCOS. Get a blood test for FSH, LH, prolactin and thyroid to confirm PCOS.. Hope I have answered your query.. Good day..
