My mother has low wbc count for more than 2years already (value of 3.1 recently). She experiences fatigue and insomnia but no bruises. She also has a low hematocrit (value of .352L), high lymphocyte count (52H) an slightly low neutrophil (38L). All of this diagnostic values were taken just today. But her wbc has been low (around 2.9-3.5) for quite some time. What does it mean? Is it grave or malignant? She's quite scared to undergo a BMA and biopsy. Help please. She could not have her peace of mind.
Hi, you have leucopenia. There are many causes for that. Like viral infection, malaria, thyphoid, bone marrow suppression. Hypoplastic anemia etc so you should go for bonr marrow aspirations and bone marrow biopsy. it will give idea regarding exact cause . Then take treatment accordingly. Thanks for using health care magic.
