I've been diagnosed with -a 37mm ovarian cyst with internal echoes -septa seen in the cyst My periods have never been regular, they always come with after 1.5-2 months. This is the first time I have been diagnosed with cyst. For irregular periods, I have taken contraceptive pills + aldactone in the past for around 2 years (in cycles of 3 months then 1-2 months gap) because the problem kept persisting. (prescribed by doctor)
Hi. The cyst is small and warrants at the moment to be observed. May need surgery only if the size increases or CT scan suspects something more than a simple cyst( simple cyst can be left alone , many of them resolve on their own) An opinion of a Gynecologist can be sought as it is showing septation and internal echo. I would advise a CT scan to have a more clear diagnosis to plan the strategy - whether to observe or to subject it for removal and histopathology examination.
