What Could Pain In Vagina & Pelvis During Pregnancy Suggest?
I am 12 weeks pregnant. When I stand or walk I have vaginal and pelvic floor pressure. Close to the vaginal opening, almost in the perineum. It almost feels like the baby is trying to come out. Is this something to be concerned about? I have no cramping or bleeding.
Hello, If you have had previous vaginal deliveries, an important factor of concern is if you have any cervical incompetence. In such an instance, you have this feeling of the baby sinking down. Else, if you have a retroverted uterus, the pelvic pressure is sometimes felt more as the uterus enlarges backward; it is always advised to lie prone as much as possible as the retroverted uterus enlarges and grows out of the pelvis to allow ease of correction. Please get a proper clinical evaluation for further management. Take adequate rest preferably with elevated foot end. Hope this helps.
