What Could It Be If Had Continuous Bloating, Distention, Indentation In Upper Abdomen, Acid Reflux And Heartburn Considering Having Colitis, Diabetes, Ra, Hypothyroidism?

Before I ask my question I thought some background was needed. I am in poor health; have RA (began as JRA), Diabetes 1, RSD, colitis, gastroperesis, hypothyroidism, sleep apnea, sjogren s, polyneuropathy, chronic pain and fatigue, acid reflux, psoriasis, and some minor ailments. In July of 2013 a pain pump was implanted in my upper right quadrant of my middle section of my body. I have had bouts of pancreatitis, and had my gallbladder removed around 7 years ago. I am on domperidone, lennes, zofran, align, and recently antibiotics after failing a breath test for bacteria in the intestines. Now my question! For the past year I have had continuous bloating and distension. It is the most painful around the top, middle part. I even have what looks like an indentation in that area. After the breath test not getting the job down, my GI has now put me on charcoal tabs. I take 2 once a day, at night time. So far I still am very bloated and uncomfortable. How I explain it is, although I ve never been pregnant, like being pregnant. It is so distended that I am having trouble breathing. I have been moving my bowels regularly and have had very little gas. I have had really bad acid reflux and heartburn. Any ideas or recommendations?

Hi,

Thanks for writing to HCM.

You are having gastritis with reflux...gerd...and you need to start on a combination of a ppi and levosulpride, initially twice a day... ask your gastro for the prescription.... take small frequent meals and don't lie down gor an hour after a meal... avoid tea, coffee, spices, fatty foods and soda drinks...as they will increase the reflux....
