Hi,
The more accurate answer might have been possible if you have mentioned regarding the cause for which
Duphaston has recommended to you. Anyhow, according to your description the possible causes for your inter-menstrual spotting and
menorrhagia are:
- Missing the tablet or altering the time of intake of tablet can lead to spotting.
- Inadequate dosage of the drug can lead to spotting.
- After stopping the tablet withdrawal effect will lead to bleeding.
- If there are any associated causes for menorrhagia apart from reproductive
hormonal imbalance, Duphaston only may not be sufficient in controlling the irregularity.
By clinical examination and investigation like complete blood picture, blood sugar levels,
thyroid profile and
ultrasound, the possible cause of the problem can be identified and treatment can be taken accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
