What Could Cause Limited Mobility, Pain And Tingling In Forelimbs And Hips, Also Have Hypertension, Thyroid And Arthritis?

Hi,I am a 60 year old woman, overweight with HBP and thyroid issues.I take medication for both.I have been diagnosed with arthritis also.I work on my feet for at least 30 hours a week. Several months I begin to have left shoulder and arm pain, also limited range of motion in that are.The doctor thought maybe torn rotator cuff.It has gradually spread to my left small and ring finger which are partially numb at all times. This week now my left hip feels like bone scraping bone as I walk, plus pain, tingles and numbness in my left foot. Any clue what might be going on? Thank you,April

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for your query.
The numb and tingling forelimbs that you are having are likely to be related to a nerve root compression at the level of lumbar spine.
Other causes include injury to the back or spinal cord, Lack of blood supply to the legs as a result of plaque formation in the blood vessels, diabetes, stroke, multiple sclerosis and underactive thyroid. Abnormal levels of calcium, potassium, or sodium in your body and a lack of vitamin B12 can also cause tingling sensations

I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
Take care
