What Could Be The Reason For Having My Ears Clogged?

My left ear feels clogged up with a bit of healing loss. On top of that I feel slight pain every now and then. I'm thinking maybe it is an ear infection but I am not entirely sure. I woke up with these symptoms and am a bit scared. I am a 20year old male.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain clogging of ear along with slight hearing loss and earache seems to be due to blocked Eustachian tube due to fluid or mucous accumulation secondary to ear infection..
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and Otoscopic examination can help in diagnosis and treatment can be planned accordingly..
You can be advised to take antibiotics like Augmentin / Cephalexin / Clindamycin etc..
Anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen, decongestants like Pseudoephadrine and nasal decongestant like Xylometazoline can be advised..
Avoid exposure to very loud sounds..
Avoid excessive water exposure like swimming and diving..
Do not pick your ears to try and open.

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
