I went to the gynecologist last week 4 birth control and vaginal discharge. Prior to going to the doctor I attempted to treat the discharge myself by douching with 50/50 Hydrogen Peroxide and water solution. The day of my visit the Dr. took a vaginal swab looked at it under the microscope and said I had BV and prescribed me gel for treatment. Two days later I got a call saying I need to come back into the office. The doctor told me today that I was positive for chlamydia. I am curious to know should I get a 2nd opinion and how could a false positive happen?
