Can Canestan Cream Be Used For Dry And Flaky Skin On Labia Majora?

I Have dry and flaky skin on my Labia majora only. the skin feels dry and the flaky skin is whitish. A few weeks ago I was tested for vaginosis and had a course of antibiotics. Now it s just the redness itchiness on the outside only and dry flakiness remaining, no abnormal discharge only clear like normal with no strong fishy smell or anything. Should I try a canestan cream on this?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It is an anti-fungal cream so it is not to be used unless it is detected. If checked once by a gynecologist, it is better. General rule is to keep the area clean and clean dressings are to be used.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sunny Madar, General & Family Physician
