What Causes Upper Abdomen Pain, Constipation And Diarrhea?
I have been having sharp pains in my upper abdomin, constipation or diahrrea (it switches between the two from one day to the next) daily. Some days when my pain is at it's worse, I will get light sharp pains in my shoulder blades and in my chest. I also have black pepper looking specks in my stool. I have already submitted stool samples, which have come back negative for parasites or giardia. I have also had an ultrasound to check for an ulcer and to check my gallbladder. All of these came up negative. I am starting to get worried it may be colon cancer?
Possibly you may be suffering from IBS-M variety which is associated with stomach bloating with few days diarrhoea and few days Constipation. stool may be associated with mucous and pain may be relieved by passing stools.
