What Causes Testicular Pain?

I'm having swelling in right testicle. it feels outside the testicle possibly in the epididymis. i'm a nurse. some pain on urination, burning. the lump has been here for 2 weeks now. can i wait until appointment in february or should i go to er sooner?

Thanks for your query.

You are a nurse as per your history and you do not know ?
When you have a swelling in the scrotum , which is most probably epididymis, with symptoms of urinary tract infection, you should go to the ER , get investigated and properly treated, as it is already late by 2 weeks .

I would advise you the following:
Ultrasonography and color doppler studies of the scrotum and the abdomen .
Urine culture and sensitivity , microscopy and routine test before start of the antibiotic.
Tests of the blood.
Get started on proper antibiotics.
Scrotal sup[port.
Plenty of oral fluids.

Consult the Urologist at the earliest.
