Hello,The day I left for my backpacking trip overseas I woke up with a bad bout of Tonsillitis. I went to the doctor and he gave me antibiotics.
The infection went away but my tonsils stayed large but not as large as when I had the infection.

4 weeks later I got sick again so I went to a doctor and he gave me one penicillin shot that day and another the next day as well as a course of antibiotics. I got better again, but again my tonsils stayed big.

4 weeks later again I got sick I went to another doctor and told him what had been happening obviously my body was used to the penicillin.
He gave me a course of different antibiotics and I got much better and my tonsils were still big after them but they were smaller than the other times.

It's been 18 and a half weeks since my last visit to a doctor, I havn't gotten sick again but my tonsils have still stayed swollen. Not enough that I can't swallow or anything they're just there. Sometimes they felt a little strained if I drank alcohol or was worn out, so forth, but other than that they're just in the way.

My sister is a Chinese Practitioner and Herbalist and she had been working with me to bring them down and better my immune system and overall health. I'm much healthier but my tonsils have gone down a bit but they're still very visible and my left tonsil is still quite big, just about any trace of symptom I had left related to my tonsils is gone as well. This week they've sort of been feeling a little funny, they havn't gotten bigger and no infection is showing but the left, bigger one has gotten a little bigger today, I have no other symptoms other than my tonsil feeling a little strange as its bigger than usual.

I'm not sick and my tonsils don't obstruct my breathing. Why are they still big? I'm not a big fan of needles and operations so I'm really worried that I'll have to have them removed but I'd rather not.
