What Causes Swelling In Lymph Node,putrid Smeel When Nose Picked And Headaches?

I have a CT Scan scheduled for friday to look at my ear, how do I get them to check this scan for a sinus infection?
is it obvious to technicians or Ear ENT doctors.
I'm trying to avoid scheduling another CT Scan if possible, but I don't think I can get a doctor to even suggest looking at the scan for evidence of a sinus infection before friday.
I have a lymph node swollen to about the size of a lentil that I've had for at least 2 weeks. the past few days I realized I've had extra yellowish boogers, and a putrid smell when I pick my nose. I took some sinus medication and it relived pressure in my face. Now I'm getting strange headaches

CT scan taken during acute sinusitis will show filling of sinuses with discharge, which doesnt convey any more knowledge,so first treat the sinusitis with a course of antibiotics and then if it is persistent and symptoms are troublesome,then you can go for CT scan of nose and pns.
