Pediatrician 's  Response
Hello,

This child seems to have a significant tummy pain loss of appetite fever suggesting there is a gastrointestinal infection.

The child has been having poor activity or lethargy since she has been sleeping for the last five days.

I would like to know how many times has the child passed urine in a day, its colour?

You have mentioned the child is not eating and has vomited the food. There is a leg pain as well?

This child needs immediately taken to the nearby hospital/ emergency room.

We need to investigate the child for gastrointestinal infection, by doing a few blood tests like total and differential counts, serum electrolytes, ultrasound abdomen.

The leg pain seems to be significant and needs to be evaluated as well.

I would request you to get her back from school and do the necessary tests soon.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr ASHWIN BALIGA, Pediatrician
