What Causes Recurring Tonsillitis? How To Cure It?

Hi, I've suffered with tonsillitis 3 times over the past 6 months and it always seems to be a million times worse on my right side. I'm on antibiotics at the moment for it (4 times a day for a week) I've almost completed my course and my right tonsil seems to be getting worse, the back of my throat is bright red and my right tonsil stings unbearably even just from breathing, my throat has never felt like this when I had tonsillitis before. The last time I had tonsillitis I was put on antibiotics 8 times a day for 10 days now I'm worried that maybe I'm not taking enough antibiotics to fight the infection because the stinging is unbearable.

Hello

I think your antibiotic is not correct as the redness and pain should have reduced by now. I would like you to meet your doctor for considering changing your antibiotics , please avoid self medications and meet the doctor.
If your work/studies are getting affected, kindly consult and ent doctor for considering surgical removal of your tonsils. Thanks
