my problem is a small rash on my face that has been ongoing for a few years i've been to a couple of different doctors and had blood work done which came back negative. My next move is to see a dermatologist, which i have a referrell for. Can u help me figure out what is growing on my face?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of rash on face which seems to be that fact that you are being exposed and re exposed to the allergen and this is the reason that the allergic reaction is persisting.
I would suggest you to take proper course of antihistamine medications along with short course of oral cortico-steroids after proper prescription. Wash face with face wash containing salicylic acid twice a day and apply cream containing azelaic acid. Drink plenty of water. Exfoliate your skin once in a week to remove the dead skin.
If condition doesn't get better in a month then consult dermatologist again for proper diagnosis and to rule out any underlying condition. Doctor may prescribe Isotretinoin, steroid ointment or antibiotics course.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
