What Causes Pain In Throat With Nausea?

Hi my name is Tanisha and I m having these symptoms at first I thought it was just the flu but my throat has been painful for the past two days and everything I do makes me feel nauseated. If I burp vomit comes up, if I cough same thing, even when I eat. I started off with a very high fever and the sore throat, my body was really heated and in pain.I would like to know is this something I need to go to the doctor or is this common with the flu? I have never experienced this much from the flu.

Hello,

Your symptoms are suggestive of an infection. I recommend consulting with your attending physician for a physical exam and a throat discharge bacterial culture, coupled with some blood lab tests (complete blood count, PCR, ESR). Antibiotics may be needed. You should discuss with your doctor on the above tests.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
