What Causes Pain In The Opening During The Sex?

I ve started the depo provera shot about a month ago. Before this I would often have increased urination before my periods and had sex once before it actually got the shot. But since I ve received the shot I ve had increased urination. Sometimes it s worse then others. I ve taken 5 pregnancy tests and all negative. I had a bacteria infection about a week and a half ago and took medication for it and I thought it went away but recently i had sex and it hurt on the opening. I have no idea what s going on. Help??

Hello,
In view of the several negative pregnancy tests and the fact that you are on hormone contraception, it is unlikely that you are pregnant. Yet, a trans-vaginal sonogram after a proper clinical evaluation by a specialist would be of help. The increased frequency of the bladder is most likely due to the urinary infection. Even if an infection is cured, soreness is sometimes an after effect and if accompanied by lack of proper lubrication, can hurt during an intercourse. A follow up urinalysis may become necessary to ensure complete cure. Hope this helps.
