I had brain surgery may 4 to have a tumor removed by the right spinal cord everything went will the full tumor was removed. I woke up at around 4:30 am having pain on my right side (arm and leg) I m not if I should go to the ER or wait for the clinic to open?
As you had surgical excision of the tumor in the spinal cord, we need to know which location was the presence of the tumor.
Also, the pain in legs and arms is possible due to the inflammation occurring at the spinal cord level and doing icing will help reduce the pain.
This is a physiological reaction of the body and occurs post-surgery. Wait and see the symptoms for now. Only if the Symptoms are aggravating than the need to visit the surgeon who operated for clinical examination.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Should there be cause for concern if the top of the legs are aching. The right aches more than the left. It feels like a dull tooth ache. My father died when he was three years younger than I am now. The symtoms before his fatal heart attack where aching arms and legs. I am not a smoker and he was. My arms are okay, just my legs off and on today.
I have a call into our dr , but my daughter started the pill lat Sunday and after 4 days on the pill she had bruising on legs and a pain in left arm. She stopped it on Friday but still has pain in arm. I am waiting to hear back from her PCP , do you think she should go to ER ?
Dear Doctor, My mother is 86 years old. She gets pain in her neck on and off. We consulted a leading Ortho Suregeon in Chennai, who prescribed her Omez (Omiprazole) and Utracet (Acetaminaphen & Tramadol Hydrochloride) Tablets and su ggested us to see him again after 2 weeks.. She has been taking these tablets daily, in addition to Atenolol - 25mg which she has been regularly taking from a long time for her blood pressure problem. Now since last 2 days, she is having swelling in her legs. She says that she is not getting her urine also satisfactorily. I do not know whether it is due the adverse side effect of Omeprazole & Ultracet. I request you for your expert advice. Thanking you, in anticipation, for your kind reply, I remain, Sincerely Yours, ARM Hussain Mobile 00 91 0000

Hi there My husband has a brain tumor, it is very rare and is called Condrosarcoma. In May 2011 when it was diagnosed it was as big as my fist. A local Neurosurgeon took a biopsy and could only remove a 3rd of the tumor. He had radiation for about 2 months every day, but it does not seem like the tumor is dying. It has gone into every little opening expl his sinus openings ext. Is there anything that you can do for him?
just wondering how much this will cost me. My son has anaplastic oligodendroglioma, grade 3 in his cerebellum. His surgery is 80% partial and standard treatment of 6 weeks IMRT radiation with 115mg temodar, then, one year of 320mg temodar for 5 days out of each month. Radiation ended July, 2010, Temodar ended 2011. He responded well to temodar. For the last year he has been falling many times. He was put into the hospital for 6 days and rehab for a month of strengthening. He is home now, just ended his last 5 days of 220mg temolozide for this month. I need to know why he is so physically weak after stopping on the 5th day of this drug? He forgets and has fallen twice. I notice him standing in one place trying to think of what to so next or where he was going. Can you help me? I have no money to pay for your answer. J
I ve just had an MRI that said: Nonspecific T2/flair hyperintense foci within subcorical white matter of the left frontal lobe . Findings could be seen with early chronic smaill vessel ischemic changes or migraines among others. What does this actuall mean? Also stated Normal IAC s and No evidence for meningioma or other mass lesions both intra-axial and extra-axial. I have had sinus issues for a year with no relief and phantom smells. After all that, now you ask for money? No thanks. Should have started with that so I didn t waste my time.
