What Causes Ovulation So That I Can Conceive?

HI, I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO CONCIEVE FOR A YEAR AND A HALF NOW. I DID CONCIEVE LAST MARCH BUT LOST MY BABY AT 9 WEEKS. MY PERIODS ARE VERY IRREGULAR. THEY CAN RANGE FROM 36 DAYS TO 19 DAYS. MY DOCTOR SAYS I AM PROBABLY NOT OVULATING. IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO AND IF I DO NOT OVULATE HOW DID I GET PREGNANT A YEAR AGO?

Hi and welcome to HCM.

First of all what is causing you to have irregular periods has to be evaluated.
There are two main reasons for irregular periods:

A change in the contraception method
An estrogen and/or progesterone imbalance (hormones which regulate the menstrual cycle)

PCOD, extreme weight loss or gain, emotional stress, eating disorders, thyroid disorders, cancer, pelvic inflammatory diseases etc can cause irregular periods

If your doctor has told you that you are not ovulating he/she should have put you on ovulation induction drugs.
But first you need to undergo thorough examination and tests to diagnose the exact problem
for time being take Tab OVACARE 0-1-0 for 3 months. It contains all essential nutrients that are necessary for ovulation. Drink lots of fluids, eat nutritious food, if overweight do some exercise and loose your weight.

Consult a infertility specialist for proper diagnosis and further help.

All the best
