What Causes Low Sugar Levels Even After Eating Food?

Hello, i think i m in the beginning stages of pre-diabetes so my girlfriend went out and got me a blood glucose meter and i been testing myself ever couple days so i can monitor my levels. recently i started a new job and yesterday and had to work late after i got off i came home and made dinner and after i ate i was still hungry so i figured it was just cause of the new stress on my body from the new job. well today when i woke up i happend again so i was telling a friend about it and she said i should check my levels and it came in at 102 she said that was a bit low considering i had been drinking tea all day so i made a snack and ate and waited 30-45 minutes and tested it again and it came in at 102 again so she said i should try and talk to someone and see what they said about it cause she said it sounded like something was wrong with my pancreas. i dont have a a doctor that i see regularly cause i dont have insurance nor can i afford the doctors visits.

Diabetologist 's  Response
I have gone through your query carefully and understood your concerns.
Pre-diabetes means that the body is already having trouble getting your blood sugar numbers down to a healthy range, but it hasn't yet reached a level considered diabetic. It also means you have the power to take important steps that can help you avoid diabetes.

The main reason for falling of blood sugar might be due to mismatch of glucose absorption and first phase insulin release.

During very early stage of pre diabetes,After taking food the signal from our stomach will reach pancreas in a delayed time.usually in a healthy individual the release of insulin and glucose absorption will be synchronized.
Due to loss of this synchronization and delayed release of insulin the sugar will drop more than expected.
To this mechanism insulin resistance also will contribute a little. This mechanism is called as Reactive hypoglycemia.
I NEED TO KNOW YOUR HEIGHT WEIGHT AND AGE
to proceed for further discussion
Hope I was able to help you.
If you have any further question feel free to write me back. I will be happy to help.
Take care.
Best Regards.
