What Causes Low Grade Fever And Sore Throat During Pregnancy?
I m pregnant and I ve had a low grade fever for the past 2 days. I went to see my doctor yesterday, she wasn t worried about the fever because it was staying around 99 degrees and under control with Tylenol. This morning I woke up with a very sore throat. Is this just part of being sick or should I be worried that it could be something worse like strep throat?
Hello dear,i understand your concern. In my opinion the sorethroat can be due to various organisms.Do warm salt water gargling thrice a day for 2-3 days and take lukewarm water for drinking. The fever is due to inflammation in throat. Its good that it is under control with tylenol.Even after following the above measures the severity increases or there is no relief then you might need a course of antiboitics. So relax. As the pregnancy has a low immunity there will be predisposing to infections.Nothing to worry. It will subside.
