What Causes Itchy Rashes On Legs And Arms?

Hi.... I am a female 29 years old. For the past one week i am having itchy legs and itchy arms. Itching increases at night and my skin turns red and also get rashes. My doctor has asked me to get TSH and diabetes test done. please suggest what should i do?
