What Causes Frequent Blood Discharge From The Nose?

i have been getting frequent nose bleeds now for about a year and a half. They come and go in spurts, but when i get a bunch of them, it is about 4 times a week for a couple months and are severe. It clots then bleeds again about 3 or 4 times. The pressure makes me feel like i am drowning in my head and sometimes I get close to passing out. I have even had it squirt before. My longest one was about 2 hours. I am seeing a doctor finally tomorrow, but i would like multiple opinions on what it could be. I sleep with a humidifier and put Vaseline in my nose sometimes for moisture. There is not pattern, it will bleed without me touching it, or bleed if i rub it. Sometimes it get hard to see and hear. It is not fun.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

Your symptoms can be related to many medical conditions.
Headaches and nosebleeds, are common.
Nosebleeds occur due to burst or broken blood vessels in the nose.
Having a headache and a nosebleed can be a sign of a minor issue, such as hay fever, or something more severe, such as anemia, or a low red blood cell count.
So,I suggest to do a complete blood count for further evaluation.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
