What Causes Foul Smelling Anal Discharge After Fever?

Hi, I've suffered for the past three days from severe flu/cold symptoms, high temp, aching muscles and violent headaches. More worryingly though, I seem to have some sort of anal fissure that is leaking a clear liquid (that turns redder in colour when dried) its foul smelling.

Hello,

I really appreciate your concern, the symptoms of fever and headache could be due to viral infection, and your most worrisome part is anal fissure then it can be managed with Policresulen ointment but it is the conservative line of treatment if this fails to cure it then surgery is the option for you. I would suggest to have tab Metronidazole it is just for prophylactic as long as the fissure and infection are concerned.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Akhtarhusain
