What Causes Dry Mouth And Throat And Shortness In Breath?

Hi I am aheart patient w5 bypasses and 6 stents. I am not hypertensive And do not smoke. I am 51 and Fri I went in for out pat hernia repair. My blood pr spiked just before the procedure. Surgery cancelled and I was sent home w clonidine. I am having severe dry mouth and throat and shortness of breath. Clonidine also makes me very drowsy and I wake up gasping. Feels like a brick on my chest. Reduced. o.3 to0.15 dose to .15 I even cutthr

Hi.
Noted your history of heart bypass and stent surgeries, also noted the your BP spikes before hernia surgery and you were started on clonidine.
This may cause many of the side effects you have and you should consult back to the Doctor to get a clinical evaluation and change over to safer medicines .
Anyways clonodine may not be indicated as it is given in ADHD and the rationale to give it just for spiked BP is not understood.
Evaluate everything to a proper direction for successful therapy
