Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Diarrhea, Passing Gas Vaginally With Pain In Pelvis, Back, Legs?
Hi I am a fifty one year old female. I have had diarrhea for 4 months now I have been checked for all the usual suspects but tests were negative. I have lost 12lbs and I am not a big person. I look anorexic now. Also I have a constant dull achy feeling in my pelvis, lower back and legs. I am worn out from the diarrhea. every thing I eat just goes right through me. For about a year before this I would have bloating after I ate to the point that I looked 6 months pregnant then out of nowhere the diarrhea came. I also have a fistula between my bowel and uterus and I pass gas vaginally. Intercourse is extremely painful as well. Have you any idea of what is going on? Thank you for your time. Sincerely, Marilyn Davidson
Hi. You have answered your own query. This looks to be case of a inflammatory bowel disease giving you all the problems. I hope you have been well tested like CT can, endoscopy and so on. It would be worthwhile to get surgical correction of the fistula and excision of the causative bowel area . Diagnostic and therapeutic laparoscopy will help you a lot.
