What Causes Delay In Periods?

Hi mam,I recently had unprotected sex with my boyfriend. My last period date was June-29. I had sex on July 23 to July 25. Should I wait till July 29th to see if I get my periods. We both dont want this pregnancy now. Should I take medication immediately to prevent ovulation ? Please advice. I am nervous and confused.

Hi,
I have gone through your query and understood the concern. Since you are regular with your cycles, you had the intercourse during your safe period and hence, need not worry about conception. You can wait for your next natural period to happen. Ovulation occurs two weeks prior to the onset of the next cycle and this is the fertile period when conception can happen. You did not have intercourse during this period and so you are safe. There is no need to take any emergency contraception. Hope this helps.
