What Causes Deficiency In Iron?

Hi, i am 29 years old and 13 weeks pregnant with my 5th child. I have iron deficiency anemia which is really really low and the doctor wants me to have venofer. I live almost 2 hours from a hospital in a country town, my closest hospital is half hour away. Will i be admitted into hospital (if so for how long)? Also will it harm my unborn child? Please also be advised that i live in Australia and i have looked on the internet for information of Venofer here and there is no study on it. I am very worried as all my other pregnancies where fantastic and healthy.

Hi, dear
You are suffering from iron deficiency anemia. You should take iron therapy for that. Iron will not harm your baby. so don't worry about that. You should admited in hospital till your hemoglobin level rise. then take oral iron supplements through out your pregnancy time.
Thanks for using health care magic.
Wish you a very good health.
