What Causes Cloudiness In Lungs?

Yes, I had 2 ct scans done in the last 12 weeks, at 1st the dr said it probably will be gone when I come back. But when I went back it was still there and had gotten a little worst, as far as the cloudiness on my right lower lung. I have no sytoms of anything. I am having the area biopsy this week. The dr said it does not look like cancer. I am worrying myself to death. What else could it be?

I can understand your concern.
Persistent cloudiness on chest CT is seen in
1. Chronic lung infection like fungal infection, tuberculosis etc.
2. Bronchiolitis Obliterans Organising Pneumonia (BOOP)
3. Malignancy.
So better to consult pulmonologist and get done
1. Bronchoscopy with BAL (bronchoalveolar lavage) analysis.
2. Lung biopsy.
All these are must for the diagnosis of this cloudiness. You may need steroids or antibiotics according to the diagnosis.
So consult pulmonologist and discuss all these.
