What Causes Appetite Loss And Sleepiness In A Child?

my 3 year old son was at the doctors today he has not been eating for a few days is sleeping basically all day. doctor examined him and said she could feel his liver she has referred him urgently to hospital what would the causes of this be and is it serious

Hi.. Lethargy and sleepiness with decrease in appetite and palpable liver may occur with hepatitis.it is also associated with yellow discolor of eyes and urine. The child will need to get investigated with some blood investigation for arrival at a diagnosis
