What Can Cause Delay In Period After Safe Sex?

i with my gf had sex on 24th of last month and she got her period on 17th of same month. We used condom. Now its 25th of next month and he has no periods. We took home test with mankind test kit. Result was single line. Her hemoglobin is low. Wts d problem? Is she pregnanant? Pl advice. We r in grt tnsion. Thank you

Hi, thanks for the query. Commonest cause of missed periods after unprotected sexual intercourse is pregnancy. Secondly urine pregnancy test is not a fully guranteed way of confirming pregnancy if done too early or too late. Hence, please confirm that your condom didnt slip or ruptured during sexual intercourse & secondly visit a gynecologist for ruling out pregnancy. Afterwards she can look out other causes of irregular menses like hormonal imbalances (common in this age group), checking your girlfriends thyroid, prolactin hormone status (these are common causes of menstrual irregularities). Dont worry too much. Practice safe sex always. Good luck
