What Can I Do Subside The Dizziness And Vertigo?

Im a 22 yrold black male i have been fine all day but just before i get ready for bed i suddenly felt dizzy then when the room stoped spinning i noticed that i felt weak i could hardly pick up a gallon of milk and slite pain feels un bare able please help

Hi, thanks for writing to HCM.

Though there are numerous causes and conditions that produce vertigo (a sense of spinning), the commonest cause is OTOLOGIC (inner ear causes). This is generally a benign condition and often termed as BPPV (benign paroxysmal positional vertigo).

Acute episodes of this condition can be effectively managed by using Antihistamine preparations like Betahistine or cinnarizine. A specific set of exercises are present inorder to reduce the incidences of vertigo. Consult an Otorhinolaryngologist who will teach you,how to perform those exercises.

Avoid sudden or abrupt change in the position of the neck, which reduces the chances of vertigo.
