What are the symptoms and causes of mono? Is it contagious?
Hi. I have a question about mono. So me & my boyfriend were visiting Monday & te next day he woke up with strep like symptoms. His throat hurt & he was ache. He went to the doctors and tested for strep & it wasn t. They said if he was sick in the next couple days, to come back and they d test for mono.... Well the thing is, I ve never ever had mono in my life. Is it possible he got it from somewhere else? Or did he get it from me even though I ve never had it?

yes mono , Infectious mononucleosis or kissing disease is infectious but 90% of the population were exposed to EBV virus which is related to developing the disease so no need to worry from where or how might your boy friend got the virus . there is a test called mono spot used to determine mono positivity if he ends to be positive it will subsidize without treatment only some painkiller would be described symptoms are fever , enlarged lymph nodes , sore throat , and fatigue among others less common symptoms .
