What Are The Side Effects Of Thyobuild?

I've been diagnosed with Thyroid at level 12.5, which is supposed to be Hypothyroidism and have been prescribed Thyobuild medicine.
Wanted to know if there are any side effects of this medicine.
I started taking these pills 2 months back and I've been losing lot of hair. Is it because of Thyroid?

Hi,
Thyobuild is thyroxine which is a synthetic thyroid hormone. It is relatively free of side effects and the benefit of treatment far exceeds side effects. Some patients have intolerance to the medication, gastritis and palpitation while on this medications. Most of the symptoms are mild and requires not treatment/ discontinuation of medications. Side effects are mostly due to overdosage. So you need to check you TSH every 3-6 months to optimize the thyroxine(thyobuild) dose.
Hair loss can occur in hypothyroidism. It will improve with thyobuild supplementation
