What Are The Side Effects Of Pristiq 50mg?

I have been treated for Hypothyroidism for the last 15-20 yrs and have taken Eltroxin 100mcg consistently. Every year my thyroid was checked and my dr. told me the levels were normal. I recently had a nervous breakdown and started to have panic attacks. The doctor prescribed Pristiq 50mg and recently increased it to 100mg per day. I still feeling extremely tired - not as much on edge but still have alot of depression like symptoms. Should I ask my doctor to investigate my Thyroid further?

Hello.Although feeling tired is a symptom of depression-anxiety, in a person with a history of hypothyroidism is advisable to realize an blood analysis for measurement of TSH and T4.Go to your doctor to request measurement of thyroid hormones(if he deems it appropiate).
I wish you good health.
