What Are The Chances Of Having Endocardias After Being Diagonised With Pneumonia?

My heart rate stuck on 250 beats a minute. Was taken to the hospital. It was discovered I had Pneumonia at the end of June 2013. I had a cheat xray on Dec 24th showed I still had some infection in my lung right by my heart. My heart keeps waking me up at night. sometimes with pain sometimes not . could I have endocardias?

Hi,
Pain in your chest at night does not necessarily come from the heart. Endocarditis can follow a chest infection but it is quite rare. There may be other causes for your chest pain such as indigestion.
I suggest you need to see a doctor for further investigation.
Regards,
Dr K A Pottinger,
